Default what is the best cage to get for a dwarf

.as I have decided to breed after Christmas and have met all the requirements what is the best kind of cage to buy. I like Athena’s new second hand gerbil cage as it is easy to clean and quite roomy and has the possibility of adding an extra level

however Aphrodite’s 3 level gerbil tank is also quite good.

however what in your opinion is the best cage to get for my third Chinese who will be a male. As I now have the best part of 100 pounds to purchase it. Were as with the last to cages I was restricted by the amount of money I had and in the case of the gerbil cage the amount of time I had to purchase it

One of the tank type cages would be best as the babies could easily get through bars. It depends how important the 'look' is to you. A nice big cage for the mum and litter and you might be wise to split the money and buy a couple of extra cages for when the babies are needing spit by sex.

Our winter whites live in Gabber rexes and we love them. They are easy to clean too. A single one would be fine in a smaller Gabber Lux. They are easy to access too for taming and handling.

I don't put the wire grid thing in the top of the Gabber. Dwarves can't climb out and it's great access to smoosh them!

Smoosh? I love that word!
I have a single winter white dwarf in a Gabber Lux and she adores it, there is lots for her to do and we get a great view of all of her escapades. The Rex is a fantastic cage for Syrians, and if I had more than one dwarf I would keep them in one of these.
You certainly do seem to be getting ready Matty, You'll have to post pictures when your set-ups are all 'set up!!

it will all be set up after Christmas as I am redecorating the room I keep my hamsters in which is also my room. unfortunately the big fish tank is beyond repair so I am going to turn Aphrodite’s 3 level gerbil tank into the nursery cage and I am going buy 2 gaber rexes.

I should really put this in the breeding section but is a meter cupboard suitable for nursing hams as I have found that it the quietest room in my house luckily there is a socket in there so I can rig up a light

i have got some pics of my hams but they are on my other computer and i have lost my memory stick

mmm don't think I would use our meter cupboard Matty, but then ours is a little bit dark with no natural light and airless and a bit small, so even with a light rigged up I think it would disturb them more than if they were in a quite corner of a bedroom or dining room for example.
Do you live (if you dont mind me asking ) in a very chaotic house with lots of noise? or just a normal family house with people coming and going. We have two parents, and two kids (who can make a normal amount of 'teenage' noise) and we found that a bedroom that is not used for most of the day was fine. If you are worried that you wouldnt sleep at night, you could always consider moving the cage into the hallway when you go to bed?
Just a suggestion. I dont think it does too much harm to hear 'some' normal noises such as steps outside the room, normal voice talking etc., the babies dont want to be brought up in total silence and darkness, just not loud, or sudden noises.
Can't wait til you find your memory stick!
