Where/how do you have your wheels?
Hiya guys. I have a junior wodent for Ginger, and I've noticed its a little bit rattly. Its really lovely though otherwise, and to be honest its not a big problem I am just curious. how do you place your wheels? I have my wodent attatched to the top of the bars, by fiddling about I got it to go through really nicely, and with two cable ties it is firmly in one place and doesn't slide about. Do you have your wheels on their stands, or on the sides of the bars, or on the top of the cage(wheel permitting) And most importantly which do you find is quietest?

Mine are all on their stands, but they can rattle and move if hammy goes for a long run! Sometimes the cage bases aren't completely flat which doesn't help!

Ruby has hers hung to the roof and I usually put something under it so she can reach it!

Re: Where/how do you have your wheels?
I put a few layers of kitchen roll underneath the wood shavings, so if the base works through during a long run, it doesn't rattle against the cage base. They do still rattle a little bit, though I find the main noise with them is the pitter patter of hamster feet.

Agreed! When my mother asks me when she'll "hear the pitter patter of little feet" I've gotten into the habit of saying "Sorry, the hamsters are asleep."
