I have the cork log from zooplus and when i was taking it out of harley's cage to do a clean today i noticed that in all the little holes in it (it had them when it arrived) there was fluffy white stuff, almost like cotton wool but when you touch it it feels sort of plasticy.
Im worried that when the log came it might have been infested with some sort of insect, could this white fluff be from larvae or something? What should i do? Is harley in danger?
thats weird :/ my cork tunnel doesnt have it although i'm going to go and check now !! ^_^
sorry i'm not much help though,... but i would try and remove it and not give it to your hamster... :S
Maybe PM the user Nappo? She may be able to help as many people in germany use cork tunnels, so if they've had this issue then she'd know..
I'm off to check mine!
ok thanks its probably nothing, i dont want to cause a panic for everyone with cork logs lol. Until today i wasnt sure if there actually was a cork tree but there you go lol.
