Default Is this cage ok?

Hi there
I was wondering if this cage is ok for a syrian hammy: (It's 46x30x70cm. The brand is Daro, don't know if it's available anywhere else except in SA)

HAMSTER CAGE 3 TIER W/HOUSE : SADiscus, SADiscus Online Shop

Sorry, I can't find a bigger image to use...
I'll be very grateful for feedback
Thanks

The floor space is a bit small in my opnion jen. We also don't like cages that are so high as the hammies can climb on the bars and fall and hurt themselves in this type of cage.

I would say floor space is better than height. I had my hamster Honey in a cage similar to this when we got her but she wasn't really bothered about the levels, she just used to stay on the bottom so we bought her the Zoozone 2 which has much more floor space and no levels and she is so much happier.

I'd agree with souffle and princess; i dont know the price- but im assuming its around £30? you can get much better cages for just a little extra

It is quite tall - if your hamster were to fall from that height it could be quite dangerous. I would go for one that is a big longer in length but not quite as tall.

I would reccomend you going for a cage with a larger floor area, rather than more tiers, especailly since a syrian hamster can be considered to be relatively large! However if you want a hammy cage with several tiers, the Savic Cambridge is a good one (CAMBRIDGE | Savic) from what i've heard. its also meant to be very easy to clean! at the moment i have a rotastak adventure zone and several extensions pods bought seperately, and accumulated over time, making it relatively large! i wish you luck on your new hamster cage!

Thanks so much for the feedback...
I have been searching through the cage reveiw section and you can't get anything like zoozone, savic, duna multy etc in South Africa. The search continues!

I just found another cage it's 60x32cm and the height is 41cm. Obviously I will cover the wire platforms with something solid. Is it still too small? Here's the picture:

Thanks so much!
