Zoo zone and wodent wheel help please!
Hi everyone,
Mavis currently has an 8'' comfort wheel. Since i bought her the zoo zone 1, i have had to suspend it from the roof bars as it kept getting moved and knocked over if it was just on the stand on the floor as the stand seems quite light and flimsy, if this happened overnight, there was no way i would know about it and be able to fix it until i got upto an unhappy face peering out of the cage!
As the bars don't extend the whole way across the roof, the wheel is hanging in the middle of the cage and taking up quite a bit of room.
I am thinking of investing in a wodent wheel but have a couple of questions;
1) Will the syrian (junior i think) sized wheel fit in my ZZ?
2) It the stand heavy/sturdy enough so that Mavis won't be able to knock it over?
Hope someone can help me!

Ok first question - yes, the junior will fit in the zz1, no problem.
Secind question - depends on how determined she is! It is quite substansial, and sturdy on its stand, a lot sturdier than the comfort wheel, it would take some force to kock it over I think . . .

It might be worth a go then, she can be quite determined though, it was mainly the digging that was moving it around i think. Maybe i was spoiling her with too much megazorb to dig in!
They seem to have them in at pet planet but only boring colours, i am tempted to use the international ordering site but i'm going to have to check how much it will cost me.
If there is anywhere else you can suggest that would be great.
I know the colour doesn't make any difference to Mavis, but i have got her pink ZZ lovely and co-ordinated with her pink spotty hammock and purple J cloth bedding!

Equinecaninefeline sometimes have them as do lamppost pet supplies, but I think that they areboth out of stock at the moment but would be worth checking.
Someone (sorry cant remember who) from the forum ordered form the international website and the service was great, arrived quickly etc. . . I dont think it works out too much more expensive either, about £15 inc delivery I think.

Dynamite is in a zoo zone 1 with wodent wheel - He hasn't knocked it over although hes tried too... Only thing is I find his wheel vibrates quite noisly on the floor of the zoozone, but Hammy's is fine so I may have just had a dodgy wheel..

You could always tape down the wheel stand to the base of the ZZ and cover it with wood shavings?

That is so simple! I thought i'd tried everything!
I've just this second given in and ordered a white wodent wheel with lavender track so will try that when it turns up.
I was tempted by the hot pink but it would have been pink overload!
Mavis has had a little nibble on her old wheel so i can justify it!

Re: Zoo zone and wodent wheel help please!
i got mine on the international ordering page on the transoniq website.
it's a bit fiddly ordering as you have to pay and submit your order seperatly.
i have read that someone on here got one and it came in about 7 days which is pretty good as i assume it comes from america. you can choose your own colours as well - i wasn't keen on the colours available at pet planet!
