Woohoo I've done it now the challenge will be to fit the cages in the car! I'll bring a ball for the racing, although I wont be bringing my fastest hammy (coz I dont think her cage will fit in the car too ). I joined the Northern Hamster Club about 2 weeks ago so should be able to enter as a novice (I'll bring my membership card incase). Shall I just bring my check on the day? Eek I'm excited lol never been to an animal show of any kind before.

Thank you all for the great help

Kathryn

We normall bring the hammies in pet carriers and they travel well. You pay when you arrive. Go to the show secretaries table and give her your name and she will give you the hire pens and pen stickers with numbers on. Make sure you put the right hamster with the right stickers and the sticker will begin with the class number eg L1104 would be the 4th hamster in class L11.
You will need to bring with you some wood based cat litter for the pen (we get it from Morrisons) and each pen must have a bit of fruit or veg for moisture (we use a chunk of cucumber) You will be given a dog biscuit for each pen too or ask for one.
Don't be afraid to ask and look forward to seeing you there (I am Lynne)

Here are some pics from Topcliffe last Saturday. It was lovely to see luckysgirl and her lovely hammies there.
We only took two hamsters but they both did really well with both winning their classes and both winning Best Male Junior hamster for Pophammy.
