Default Mites

two of my mice have come down with mites, I have some treatment from the vets and he said not to treat the hamsters but they are all kept in the lounge. I don't know how easy it is for mites to spread but I am very tempted to treat the girls just in cast, what do you think? Just to add, the solution is suitable for hamsters but the vet said he didn't think they would need treatment.

If the vet said not too I would not treat them unless they show symptoms. Perhaps the mites are more mouse specific ones. The chemicals may not do the hamsters any good unless they are really needed.
