Red swollen testicles

I noticed P2's testicles have become red and swollen, as shown in the attachments (I can't get a better angle because he wouldn't let me pick him up). They weren't 'this' swollen at first and I thought it's just normal.. Like he's just growing up, or something like that. Plus, he ate, drank, played, even peed, like he normally would. But now, it worries me so much. He's been sleeping longer than usual and doesn't run on his wheel at times that he used to, and im worried that this might have something to do with the swelling. Is there something wrong with my hammie?

Is the room he is in hot? From what I can see in the photos it just looks like he is letting them down to air because he is very warm. He is also becoming mature where his man bits will grow and become more noticeable.

Too hot in the cage will also cut down on wheel time as it is just too hot for him to enjoy.
Too hot in the cage could also explain why he is always sleeping in the open upside down instead of using all those lovely nesting items you have offered him too

Oh. Yeah, it's kinda hot here in our country even if December is approaching and typhoons are on the news. I keep him in the living room instead of my room, because at least there, he shares the fan with the family. I also just leave his bin cage open. He doesn't escape and I thought that way would give him better ventilation. But yeah, that also explains why he starts drinking water often.

But there's nothing to worry about the swelling? I just need to do something about the room being hot for him?

If the room and cage is hot he is just doing what is normal to keep his reproduction system in good working form. In cold weather some Males can pull their testicles up so high you'd think you had a hamster with a sex change

You can try offering him some slate or a clay pot cooled in a fridge and see if he might like to snooze inside or on top of it. Make sure he has plenty of cool water to drink and very good ventilation as it is not hard for them to die of heat stroke during Hot weather days.

A ceramic mug makes a nice cool place to chill out too. A piece of marble will also stay cool-- you might find one in a kitchen shop for setting hot dishes on or as a cutting board/cheese board.
