Default Teeth injured help

I put one of these in my hammys cage (hope it works its a seed star on a stirng) I woke up at 3am to him trying to drag it up his cage. Upon inspection there was blood all over. The star had been knawed off and that's where the most blood is then as he has tried getting it up his tube its on all edges of the star. Upon inspecting his mouth his bottom teeth are no longer togeather but apart like a V shape.... He does not seem to be in any pain but he obviously has some tooth damage. I want to take him to the vets but i'm off away until Wednesday (my mum is looking after him). Do you think they will just fall out? and if so what happen food wise? how can he eat? his top teeth look fine btw.

I'm afraid I know nothing about teeth so can't really help beyond take him to the vet & remove the star from the cage.

Hopefully though this will bump it back up then forum so someone smarter than me can give you some reassurance & some advice about what to feed him

How far apart are they? They may shift back however it is more likely they will need clipped right back and hopefully regrow in the correct position. Can your mum take him as the teeth can pierce the upper palate and damage it. Also they grow and stop them eating.
For now feed him soft foods like baby food, cooked mashed veg, porridge, cooked rice, pasta and also take some of his hamster mix and soak in boiling water and cool. This will soften it. He should last till Wednesday unless you see him in pain or not eating at all in which case he does need seen sooner. Some vets are open till 7 if you could do an evening visit?

He may have slackened a tooth or he may also have nipped his tongue or lips? Either way, it`s best to be on the safe side because if it is a tooth issue, he might not be able to eat properly. A vet would tell you if there is any slackness or damage done so it will be worth having his teeth looked at just to be sure. x
