HELP! Rocky fell ;(
So Rocky sometimes tries to make far jumps and has fallen because out of nowhere he will jump so fast out of my hands ![](https://www.hamstercentral.com/community/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif) but I was playing with him on my bed and then he jumped so far and fell on the little heater I have and onto the ground! He then hid under the heater and I got him to come out and I was just holding him to make sure nothing was hurt/bleeding.
He just stayed still for a little bit then acted normal. I still want to take him to the vet to make sure he doesn't have broken bones.
Do you think there could be any injuries? Please help

Re: HELP! Rocky fell ;(
Our hamster got herself into an awkward situation one Sunday night which stressed her out but when we managed to free her (long story) she began washing herself and wandering around again as if nothing happened. I know it's not the same as falling but the predicament she got herself into coud have resulted in broken bones/teeth. We gave her a treat, let her settle overnight then took her to the vet the next day. Although she seemed fine, we wanted to make sure. You can't always tell straight away if there's something wrong. Hope your little one is ok.

If you really are worried then take Rocky to the vets. And for now just monitor. Never know Rocky may have just been a bit scared.

Re: HELP! Rocky fell ;(
We took him to the vet and he was just fine. The Dr. Said that if he was able to do all his normal functions then he is okay. He got scruffed for the first time and spit out his food :/ but then he took it back haha!

Re: HELP! Rocky fell ;(
I'm glad to hear hes ok ![](https://www.hamstercentral.com/community/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif) Spitting out the food is a defence in the wild for hamsters, so they can sometimes do it when they are a bit stressed or nervous x

Re: HELP! Rocky fell ;(
When I first brought Mocha home she jumped out of my hands when I was standing and fell on her back on the hardwood floor! She didn't move right away so I was sure she was dead. She was just in shock and recovered just fine. They are really resilient little creatures.
