I'd not worry, as all hamsters drink different amounts naturally and as long as its normal for your hamster then I wouldn't see it as a concern.

And er... I'm afraid theres no way of knowing just from the weight. I'm guessing she's a syrian, but the syrian weight range is huge. Scamp was about 110g when we weighed her and for her, thats fine, wheras some people have 200g hamsters who are also fine.

I would not worry. When the hamster drinks a lot, then it's time to worry and go to the vet! They come from very dry climates and in the wild often get by from eating fresh food alone because they don't even have access to water. Eg. syrians destroy about 2% of the water melon crop on syria despite being hunted by farmers.

One of my hams wasn't drinking enough and it turned out to be that the bottle was a bit rubbish. Thin spout and small ball on it. Now he has a classic one and drinks a lot more.

Drinking 5ml is about right daily. But some hamsters drink more than others and the climate has an effect on that aswell. I feed my syrian small pieces of fresh fruit and veg almost daily, so he also gets moisture from those.
