Re: Cameo has a Pyometra, should we put her through an op?
I'm very sorry to hear she lost her fight so soon, but you did the best for her.
Sleep tight little girl, you'll be restored to full health and zooming round heaven now xx

Re: Cameo has a Pyometra, should we put her through an op?
Thank you everyone.
Has been a really rubbish year, 10 losses plus 1 who died the day we were supposed to adopt him. At least they were happy for the time they were here though.

I'm so sorry. Now your girlie is pain-free and having a run at the bridge, snuggling other HC hams there.

Thank you, I know who you are glad you agree on the rescue. Is a shame we are hearing such bad things about them. Poor Kira was in hibernation when she arrived but perked up within half hour of being in her new home and Cameo was supposed to have had tumours on her head which had miraculously disappeared. Just not sure what to believe really.

Re: Cameo has a Pyometra, should we put her through an op?
my sis in law got a hammy from there who was in hybernation too and bald from mites but he has load's of hair now, Silver and Star are very skittish and anyone with any guinea pig savvy would of only rehomed them as a pair alone as they need alot of handling and tlc (these were supposed to be their pet's and not rescue animal's) yet they were happy to leave them with my other 6 and even tried to get me to take an unneutered boar! (and my cage wasn't big enough for 9) I love all my piggies and the herd get's on fine but i feel bad for Silver and Star cos they really would benefit from a home just for them.

Oh God, that's really bad. Looks like they made a lot of snap decisions that weren't always the right ones. Glad your sister in law's hamster is thriving now too like Kira (last seen swinging from the roof of her hamster heaven lol).
