Question Honey Looks Wierd (images)

well as you all know i came out of hospital 3 weeks ago and i had my girls back on the 9th of june and both of them were in heat its been ages now and milly is fine her usual bald self (baldness came back sadly but is being treated with anti mite drops) and only last night because i haven't properly seen honey, she looks huge.

she looks mega pregnant but obviously she cant be because i haven't bred her and she is doing everything like a pregnant hammy does on the last 2 days when she is ready to pop, im hoping its a phantom pregnancy but on the other hand, she is going to the toilet peeing more mind, but her poop aint as much as what she normally poops i cleaned their cages out last tuesday and there is hardly any poop this week to what she normally does.

she is sleeping anywhere and sometimes looks as if she is going to give birth... if you know what i mean from the signs of when a real pregnant hamster goes through.

i am pretty worried because if she has got a problem inside her stomach lack a tumour or something or VERY bloated, she does eat like there's no tomorrow mind.

i have had an outbreak of fleas this month with my cat, but i have treated both honey and milly with flea and mite drops, also i have been giving them a vitamin supplement in their water for extra support of their daily needs, it was really for jut milly to help with her weightloss and baldness, milly is even struggling to clime on top of her wooden house now love her...
anyway this is about honey lol

i have got some images i just took of her, could you please tell me what you think and what maybe i should do, besides going to the vets.???

here are the images

i know the pic above looks cruel but it was only for a few seconds to show you her belly and her foofoovalve

those are the only decent pix i could put on er sorry also honey is due to be in heat tomorrow, if that helps

If she has not been put together with a male hamster, there isn't any chance she's pregnant. As you mentioned that her poop has been less than usual, I think this might have something to do with her that. It could be that something's clogged in her bowels, or some rectal problem. Others here with more experience could probably pinpoint it, but I would definitely recommend you take her to the vet immediately.

I think it may be worth a trip to the vets to have her checked over - a swollen tummy like that can be due to a build of puss in the abdomen in a female, called a pyometra (womb infection). This could also be the case as she seems to have some straining around her vents.

I think she needs to see a vet, to be on the safe side. She may well need some treatment to help her out.

She's lovely though . And I liked your word "foofoovalve". I'll steal that, I think! Good luck getting her sorted.

I think she has a pyometra couchy - I'm so sorry. She has a discharge you can see on the pictures and her belly is very swollen as the womb is full of pus. It can strike at any age at all sadly and she is going to need spayed if she is to survive. This is quite advanced and you need to see the vet asap.
I wouldn't give her any meds as they are not going to help. Take care handling other hamsters as you could pass on the infection and handling her as the womb can rupture.
I am almost certain this is what it is xx
