Re: 30 Days of April
That tip with the pegs was a brilliant one, Matthew is thrilled that he can make so much noise with his pegs. He's actually chewing them too so at least it's doing his teeth good.
Scrappy is looking ever so handsome. I almost didn't recognise him as you honestly can't tell he's missing a leg until you see that last photo.

Re: 30 Days of April
Wonderful photos of Delphic and Olympic both begging for more treats!
All of your Duprasi's are adorable - your litter is too cute and it's good to see that Lyra is coping really well with only 3 legs and is being a wonderful mother.
Also great to see Scrappy is doing really well to - he looks ever so sweet and cuddly!

Aww Scrappy is an absolute beauty! So lovely he's doing great with 3 legs. What a little trooper.

Re: 30 Days of April
I apologise for not having had time today to take new photos. Instead I thought I'd share some of my best hammies, the Champions and Grand Champions who won these:

The hamsters winning those beautiful rosettes were:
Champion Arreton (male dominant spot Chinese)
Champion Mythic's Grypon at Vectis (male SH cinnamon Syrian)
Champion Lilliput's Seven Sisters at Vectis (female normal Chinese)
Champion Lilliput's Ruby Duchess at Vectis (female normal Chinese)
Champion Vectis's Valium (male dominant spot Chinese)
Grand Champion Ningwood at Vectis (female dominant spot Chinese)
Grand Champion Lilliput's Eponine at Vectis (female dominant spot Chinese)
Grand Champion Vectis's Angel Islington (female normal Chinese)
Ning was my last Grand Champion. She was a lovely girl and I was excited to see her name on some pedigrees of hamsters on the sales table recently. It's nice to see her descendants continuing her Ning-ness.

Griff has been my only Champion Syrian. I was really pleased as there are some lovely cinnamons around.

Val was my first Champion and was from my first litter. I was so proud of him.

I still miss Angel despite the fact she was born in 2010 and died in 2012. She was a stunning hamster and had amazing type and colour. It wasn't just me thinking that - the judges agreed and awarded her 7 Certificates of Merit as well as many Best and Reserve Best in Shows.

Re: 30 Days of April
I can see why Angel was a Grand Champion, she's an absolute stunner and that colour is just amazing.
I don't think I've ever seen one in real life with such a lovely colour.

Re: 30 Days of April
I'm glad you're enjoying the thread - I'm enjoying writing it.
Today I thought I'd ask you a question
It's April and my dining room table has these two things on it. What does it mean?
Question by Vectis Hamstery, on Flickr
Hint: you'd have to look back to my threads from 2014 to find the last time this happened
