Both my girls seem to be very curious about cameras so if there's one around it's not usually long before they want to come and have a look. James doesn't usually bother and tends to just carry on with what he's doing.

Today will be the last day we'll be introducing the pets that have been part of Metallica's history and the final pets I'm introducing are Frankie and Benny the Guinea Pigs. I'd wanted Guinea Pigs since I was a child but my parents had always said no as they were concerned about who would look after them if we went on holiday (hamsters were easier to take with us or to someone else's house).

I took on Frankie and Benny from a workmate who could no longer keep them and they live in their hutch just outside our kitchen window. They love to be out in their run and adore their food..,



Frankie is the one with the longer hair.

Hi Fluffagrams. I just came back on board and went through this thread from when I was last on HC. All of your Chinesey's are beautiful and Lady May was especially gorgeous. The babies will be looked forward to with excitement by all of HC. I love Frankie and Benny.

for the remaining couple of days I'm going to post some of my favourite photos and as DrKMcK mentioned Lady May, here she is...

LOL All my small hamsters love mealies. I haven't had one Syrian who likes them. Look at Lady May's cute little hands holding on to her treat. Love it.

It's cute to see a Chinesey holding onto something yummy with those tiny paws but those tiny paws have very tiny nails which can be a pain to cut on a hamster that likes to wiggle like May did.

I've had one Chinese who didn't like mealworms (Stitch) but fortunately his brother did so when they lived together and he'd leave them, Meat would finish them up. Lady May was funny with her mealworms, she'd never take them off of me but if I put it on the substrate she'd be there in a flash. If I offered her seeds on the other hand, it was fine to take them.

One of many things that she was set in her ways about.

Aww those little paws! Such a beautiful photo of the lovely Lady May Fluffagrams, I can easily see how that would be a favourite!
