Re: Set-Up Advice
For the short term I've got an old waterbottle holder that I've dug out and doused in pet safe disinfectant, but I'll get one of those bottles and clips on order Thank you!

Re: Set-Up Advice
Do they give out awards for blatant stupidity? I've realised that the bottle can be attached as normal by (-gasps-) turning the wire! I probably will invest in a proper holder at some point though

Re: Set-Up Advice
lol! I was just going to say I've never had a problem with the classic bottles, the wire can be a bit of a pain to fix sometimes but it should fit!

Re: Set-Up Advice
Yes those are the ones I use (The Ferplast drinky ones linked earlier) I really like them. The clip fits to the 7mm bars so the holder is inside the cage, and the bottle just clips into the holder so easy to take the bottle in and out and the spout doesn't have to fit through the narrow bar spacing. I am useless at fastening bottles on (particularly since the episode with the large glass bottle held up by a star wars annual lol!) so these are a godsend to me!
As you have a classic bottle for now, maybe just make a bottle holder for it. There were a few suggestions on here at one time, but one of the easiest ones was just a plastic bottle (eg a mineral water bottle) - cut the top of where it curves in, so you have a plastic tube with a base, make a small hole in the front at the height you want the spout to stick out. I think some people put a few stones in the bottom so it doesn't fall over.
I think the cage set up looks great!
