Re: Nyx Hamster Rescue - Now 'Little Bears'
Panda is gorgeous isn't he I find that black hamsters are like Marmite - people love them, or they don't. Not surprisingly he's had interest already.
I find that, every time I think of slowing things down with the rescue, something comes up.
Six Syrians were being sold, they needed to go by today. I got in touch with the owner as they ended up trying to sell all six, plus mum for £10, I hated to think of where they could end up. They weren't having much luck selling them on it seems and they were going to take them to Pets At Home today.
So, I have seven new additions. Here is what they were all being kept in, with mum at the front:
I've now split them into male/female groups (please excuse the lack of toys/wheels, I was in a rush and just threw some things in):
Three males...
Three females...
Now originally they were selling them as six months old. They then said that they were two months old so I'm guessing mum is around six months. Judging by their size it seems accurate, mum is quite young. I was told they were sold her already pregnant however I know they have a male, who could have possible been the father.

You really are a hamster hero, you do know that don't you!
Always there whatever turns up.
That first shot is heartbreaking, as always so glad they ended up with you, I hate to think what might have happened to them otherwise too.
They look really adventurous exploring their new world!

Thank you
It is heartbreaking. I was told that they were separated into males/females, however as you can see they weren't. I'm assuming chances of pregnancy are slim however I will be closely watching the females.
Luckily they are all safe here. It's very sweet to watch them sleeping - I'm sure they are exhausted!

Re: Nyx Hamster Rescue - Now 'Little Bears'
Unfortunately I wasn't able to get pictures of al of them individually, however...
Here is mum.
Little Cinnamon girl.
What I think, is a cream roan girl.
And here are the boys They are all very active and as soon as I opened the door they'd be all over me trying to escape, so I gave up trying to take pics!
Mum and her daughter.
The only one missing from the pictures, is the cream girl. She's pretty shy so I haven't got a picture of her yet.

They're all gorgeous! That photo of the little girl in the tube is funny & cute!
I really hope you can find some good future owners who will find them totally impossible to resist.

Re: Nyx Hamster Rescue - Now 'Little Bears'
You are a hero! These little ones are being given the proper chance of being adopted out to suitable people.
They're absolutely gorgeous!
The cage they all came in is tiny.
So glad the owner took them to you and not P@H.

Guys, my heart has been completely stolen, last seen in the possession of a little cream banded mum and her babbies, they've made clean off with it.

They are all so lovely! I do hope there are no pregnancies. You should have a lot of interest in those beauties.
