Default Tank upgrades and redecorating!

Hey guys! Some of you know that I splurged on a 40 gallon tank for my Robo, Lucy. I promised I would share pics when I finally got it set up, and I just finished! What was supposed to be a quick tank swap turned into a 5 day excursion involving goo gone, faulty shower heads, and dragging a million-pound tempered glass tank to the house, into the bedroom, to the bathroom, and back to the bedroom, all while a mouser cat tried desperately to sneak by me to get at the hamster cages >.< BUT ITS DONE! I also took the opportunity to give my Syrian, Margo's tank a bit of redecorating I'll share both tanks, starting with Lucy's.

In Lucy's tank, I have, from left to right: her purple 7 1/2 inch flying saucer, her preferred wheel, an ecotrition snack shak log, which I may replace if she chews it too much, as it's made with honey. Two stones; a piece of black slate and a river rock for claw maintenance. A chinchilla chiller, on top of which I have her food bowl, her Alfie Ceramic water bottle holder, and a small alligator whimzee chew. Above that there's a colored cardboard tube, a colorful wooden jungle gym (one of my favorite toys, so sad it's been discontinued ) and a small rainbow bendy bridge. Then there's a ceramic teal critter bath (empty at the moment), a plastic tea container partially buried in a heaping mound of substrate to dig in, a green plastic train toy, an All Living Things plastic house, and lastly a large, natural colored bendy bridge in the corner.

Lucy went to bed pretty quickly after being introduced to the new tank, so her opinion is still TBD ^_^

I'll have to post Margo's tank in the morning, as it's 3 am and I am exhausted ^_^

That's a pretty awesome amount of space, lucky Lucy, I'm sure once she's slept on it she's going to love exploring & playing in there!

I sure hope so cypher I'm a little afraid of overwhelming her, as robos are prone to being overwhelmed easily, but she was such a trooper when I moved her from her original Crittertrail to a 20 gallon (poor thing spent the first 6 months of life with just a wheel and a plastic tea container ) I figured it was worth a shot. She's always been a brave little tyke ^_^

If she does seem a little overwhelmed I'm sure you could just add more toys or hideouts & she'll probably love it & you even more
My Chinese is a bit like this, she loves her space but only if she has lots of toys, tubes & hideouts to dive into if she wants.

And here's Margo's tank I'm always hard-pressed to fit toys into her tank, since she's a syrian and needs much bigger toys,'I can never fit as many as I like xP but she seems to like the setup.

We've got a Timothy hay hidey house, a glass jar with paper pellet litter for her toilet, with several river stones in front of it in a vain attempt to keep bedding out, a piece of black slate under her water bottle, a wooden petco bridge, a chinchilla chiller that has her food bowl on it, her teal blue Carolina Storm Express Wheel, a sawed-off carpet tube buried in a pile of substrate, a large toothbrush whimzee chew, and a large rainbow bendy bridge

Update: I did hear Lucy come out after I went to bed last night. I don't know how long she was out, but I heard her running on the wheel and drinking from the water bottle. All good signs that she's settling in

Thanks Teddy! ^_^ she doesn't fuss much over the train, but she does run through it fairly often. She's using the large bendy bridge for food storage, and she runs through the train to get to it most of the time, I guess because it feels sheltered but it's super cute and I love it <3
