Default Please help I hope I have not stressed Willow too much

Hi I recently treated my baby girl Willow to a set of Hop Nibble and Squeek cage accessories I introduced the climbing frame first then the wood hammock and now tonight I have removed the scrappy wicka hut which was dilapidated to a brand new wood hut, i have retained her old bedding but I'm not sure how she will react and very nervous even though my intentions are good but will she appreciate it her new home, my other half says no but I just wanted to create a bit more room for her. Will she settle in 24 hours or should I out her dilapidated hut back? Am I better off leaving her to find her way for tonight? Or am I stressing more than Willow?

I'm sure some people on here can give better advice than me, but I'd say don't worry! Give her a bit of time to get used to it, that's all!

You could always put both houses in there tonight so she has a choice and can get used to it before you take the old one out?

I did think of that but there is not enough room for nothing despite Willows home being an Alasakan Cage, I made the mistake of buying the wikka hut but it is massive

I'd leave it I'm probably way too late but that'd have been my choice, see how she is with it overnight before deciding anything too much
It won't hurt if you've given her old one back though

That's true Kyrilliondaemon, I kept the old one out. I spent a good bit of time with her last night but I eventually had to go to bed at 2am, I was so tired. I woke up about five thirty and I came downstairs to check on her and I placed a bit more of her old bedding in her cage, I kept her old hut bedding. She was nowhere to be seen but when she heard me she shuffled out from underneath her new hut, I guess using the door wasn't an option, to see what I was doing. I come down this morning and I think she's in her new hut she's nowhere to be seen.

I haven't taken the option to change her hut lightly and it's taken me over a week to pluck up the courage, but the old wikka hut was dilapidated and took up too much room, I just want to provide the best care of my baby Willow.

Hi Kyrilliondaemon I think I have made the right decision as on closer inspection on her old hut some of the edges were getting sharp. I think its just about getting everything to Willows liking, for instance we have had to put more bedding underneath the new hut as Willow doesn't want to use the door she prefers to dig underneath and climb in and out of the base of the hut, so we have provided more room for her to climb in and out.

Oh yeah, if it was getting sharp I'm glad you changed it out I hope you can get everything back to her liking soon, our syrian Scamp used to be the fussiest animal on the planet about some things so you do have my sympathy in having to get it exactly right lol (For Scamp it was substrate depth, if it was below a certain level she refused to leave it there and would move the lot to a single big pile)

Willow can't be that bothered as she happily running round the room it's definitely Willow playtime but not for much longer I'm afraid as I've got work tomorrow.
