You did the best you could for poor little Harry, sometimes even the best you do isn't enough and he had lost the will to live. He knew he was loved and he died having an owner who cared. Play well at the bridge Harry, your pain is gone now and you can run free with all the other hammies up there. RIP

I've just seen this. I am so sorry to hear that Harry didn't make it, but you gave him so much love and care in his last days that he wouldn't have had if you hadn't taken him. You did all you could.

So sorry to hear about little Harry I know exactly what you're going through, my situation with Pepsi was the same, although he died right by my side before i could get him to the vet
It is a horrible situation to have been put in but i thank you for taking such great care of Harry when he needed it and giving him the love he deserved.
And cry away, it is amazing how the lttle furries can get into your heart, but i'm sure you won't let him out of it

Thank you all once again for your kind words and support. You were all a great help while i was trying to help Harry. I hope you are all well. Im sorry to hear about your little hamster Jayne. It must have been very upsetting for you too The little furries sure do get into your heart. I know how much i fell for Harry and i only had him a couple of days. And i love my gerbils so much. Some people make you feel foolish for having so much love for little furries which always annoys me. Just because something is small and only costs a few pounds to buy, doesnt mean its worth any less than say a dog who cost hundreds of pounds. Although obviously here in preaching to the converted
Most of my gerbils are ones who were left on their own. I always feel sorry for lone gerbils as they love company and thrive with it. So i take them and bond them with other lone ones and its lovely when they accept each other and you see how happy they are. Anyway in waffling as usual and taking over hamster forum with gerbils LOL sorry im obsessed with them.
