Default Eyeless whites

Ive seen them mentioned in a few post and was wondering if anyone had any pics? Im curious! Also what makes them that way? x

They inherit two copies of the "Wh" gene. Roans have one copy, and it can show in agouti patterns as a white bellied hamster.

Batkat has a few from a pet shop accident - she posted pics of her boys recently.

Internet Nobody is exactly right - the Wh gene is what causes a hamster to have a white belly or become a roan, when they inherit one copy from a parent. If they inherit two copies (one from each parent) then the result will be a pure white hamster with little eyes or no eyes.

They are very sweet little souls but hard work. They also have other medical conditions, deafness, no teeth and heart problems. We love all 3 dearly but they need a lot of veterinary care and shouldn't be bred, I have heard of someone breeding them for snake food which is totally out of order Ours came as a surprise package from a pregnant pet shop ham.
