Re: So I left the cage door open...
I accidentally done this once when Muffins was in the vivarium. He hadn't been out in a while (I'd been almost sleeping at the hospital before my gran passed away), he wasn't for coming out, so I lay down, got a phone call to go back to the hospital. When I came home later on found him just sitting outside of it staring at me xD

LOL! All these stories are quite funny. My last syrian never escaped, never even tried really.

Re: So I left the cage door open...
haha bless him, he was probably like "oh no i've been seen!"
I've done this a few times. Last time I realised Batman had got out I instantly found him camping out behind my wardrobe, they can be quite predictable sometimes x

Re: So I left the cage door open...
I left the cage open once by accident. I didn't realise and left to go and walk the dogs.
Got back half an hour later and Fudge was still there. I'm guessing she was either completely oblivious to the cage door being open or she just went back by herself xD

Re: So I left the cage door open...
My syrian managed to push the doors open on her cage on 3 occasions (from different doors that have now got clips on them) all three times were in the middle of the night! One she managed to find a pencil on the floor and tried to bring it back to her cage, holding it in her mouth and bumping in to everything which woke me up! Another time somehow she ended up on my bed, i still havent managed to work that one out, and I was woken up by tickling on my feet!

She had herself a little adventure! My mother woke me up at 6am one morning saying she thought she heard something in the computer room. I went in there, turned off all the lights, and sat on the floor until I heard something. Sure enough after a few minutes I heard scratching on the closet door. I opened up the closet and there she was on the floor staring up at me. I was so happy to see her!

Re: So I left the cage door open...
My first syrian, Sheldon, used to be able to push the lid off the tank (it didn't matter what efforts we put into holding it down) but for some reason would never leave my room. his final escape involved him going missing and me finding him climbing up the dress bag that my prom dress was in...such a turkey
