wanted - a girlfriend for monty!

many of you will remember monty i got from last years peterborough show. i am looking for a lady for him. hes in great health at the moment and so gorgeous. i would love to have a litter with him as the daddy. i am wondering if anyone will be taking any litters to the peterborough show or will have any 4ish max months old by then. i have 3 girlies but all too old now. i will try scanning in his pedigree so can find him a perfect girl that will get the best out of him. or if anyone can recomend a good colour for him to be paired with. thanks. he has a thred somewhere, montgomery alexander is his full name. x thanks

I think the best would be another cream or sable, can be roan as a generation between
they are quite common colours as they are a strong and well shown colours

Ild throw an email to breeders you would be intrested in, (i have a few on pedigree's) asking what colours they are breeding.

I must must must say, you have to know what you are doing, and i know you have the genetics written down but please make sure you are not just doing it for the sakes of it.
my litter was well researched planned and done to the book, and I only had one survivor I had to hand rear, I just say this to help you, and help the hamsters.

no need to worry about the hamsters, i have bred them before, but now taking more an interest in colours and type, and want to breed "good" hammys last little i had, had 14, all survivors. so quite prepared lol. and also willing to keep any left behind. doing for all right reasons.

and would be great if someone would get in touch.i have no idea who goes to the shows, i love my hams and would love to be more involved with the people side, but once delt with the family and the animals keep me sane i dont get much chance now.

id love to bring the longhaired out, (never had a longhaired ham!) but doubt that would happen, i cant get my head around the genetics of colours all i know is plain to pattern, (which i done successfully) but i know some of the colours have some faults being mixed.

which again is why i am asking here. i am surrounded by petshop hams, all apart from one place are bred by same person in a massive breeding farm (best way to describe it) knowing the "better" animal friendly breeders will be at the show, and i am 99% going apart from if something major happends. so worth an ask.

Oh wow, Monty is the handsomest hamster I have ever seen. I'm sure he will make stunning babies. Can I put my name down now, especially if there's one with similar markings on its face? X

defo if can find a way to get one to you Lougarry. wanna find him the perfect little lady. i am going to have a call about VY one day in next week or so now thanks. monty is a tad gorgeous Lougarry. i know i'm bias but he is lol. hes mostly kept the heart on his face too. and his fur is now that thick soft fur, not smooth, but not rex. just pretty. will get a new pic of him up soon. i need to update sig anyways, as both wotsit and issac gone now. and Jazzie is not on it either lol. shows i been major busy with real life. lol

anyone localish want to use him for stud? i would still like to have one of his offspring, but at the moment i have no room for babies... hubby announced he wants Rats. so my space i had planned out for hammy babies etc has been taken. (can hardly say no all my critter crew i have - he gets bombarded with hammy stuff) if i have many losses before october time, ( i may have as i have a few oldies in my critter crew- i dont want to- but i might!) then it may be a different story. Lougarry- are you on facebook. i have a new pic of monty on there. i still think he has his heart! if so p'm me with details please sugar, ill add you and tag you.
