Exclamation Template needed

Right, this is kind of a big ask but if you'll bear with me, I can explain. I know you guys can do this because you're just so fantastic
I have a Ferplast cage and a Mickey double, and I want to put a Ferplast connector onto the Mickey so I can give my hamster more space (thanks to the wonderful member who gave me this idea!). Simple so far.
Could anyone make me some sort of printable template that I could use to help my dad cut a hole of the right size, because he's really bad at DIY and is convinced that he's going to wreck it!
Thanks,

It might be a good idea to buy the tubes and connector before you draw a template as you will know the exact size and are less likely to make mistakes

Yeah, if you buy the connector plate first then you can just use that as a template. Its what we do

How much smaller/bigger than the connector plate does the hole need to be??

Just sent a PM, but yes definitley measure it against the connector plate first. I don't have my connected cages anymore, otherwise i could measure it for you.
Its easier to just cut a square the same as the plate, but a circle turned out more secure as the bars held against the lip of the plate x

Do it based on the plate. You want the long hook sort of bits that'll hold it onto the remaining bars able to do so.
