HELP! Meatball's Escaped!
OMGosh, There is a hole is the top of the bin that she chewed and she's gone! WTH? Anyway I've gone in each room and put food on the floor for her and shut the door to each room and each closet, all containing food. I figure when we see food eaten, we can narrow it down as to which room she's in.
Is this a good idea? What else can we do to try and catch her???

Re: HELP! Meatball's Escaped!
Er... I'd assume she can get downstairs and go from there really.
This thread might help with ideas, my personal favourites are humane traps and the bucket trap.
I hope you get her back ok!

Re: HELP! Meatball's Escaped!
Try and get them back within 24 hours is usually best, leave the small piles of counted food, e.g sunflower seeds in the corner of each room and block them all off from each other, this should help you to find what room they're in and go from there (realise you said you were doing this anyway, not on the ball this evening)
Alternatively if leaving overnight, set bucket traps in each room (or the one you think they're in) with food etc in.
Good luck getting them back
ETA they can last longer, and often find bits of food on the floor, I just said the 24 hour thing because you don't want them eating something weird while they're out.

Re: HELP! Meatball's Escaped!
UPDATE! We got her!! We set out dry oats (she loves them and fresh veggies in each room. My daughter went up to her room to check and there she was, in the middle of the floor eating the oats. Of course my daughter started screaming and Meatball went back under the entertainment center. We laid out more treats, got her wheel and set up as if we were on a stakeout! HAHA
Sure enough, she came out to get some treats and voila! We got her=) She's safe and sound now! Thanks everyone!!
