I might being getting 2 Robos :D Animal shelters?

Okay so I've ordered my ZZ and rearranged my room for a place for it My parents have agreed and I now plan to get 2 robos What do I need to buy? (I'm a lazy bugger hahaha and it's easier to follow others lists) and is there any animal shelters in Birmingham/Solihull that may even have robos or any other hammies to home!! I feel like this time, instead of buying one, I want to adopt one

If your getting two dwarves you'll need two of most things (mainly two wheels and maybe 2 bottles) you don't need to get houses for them but do get toys where they cant corner one another (tubes or boxes with lots of holes are good)

Yeahhhh, Ive got my OH on the hunt for 2 silent wheels and I'm off to P@H this weekend to buy some goodies for them ;D

Pets at Home have the adoption centre, although some are 'stock' (hate that term) they can't sell they do take in unwanted pets. Mine often has hamsters that have been returned due to people struggling to tame them (mainly dwarfs) and a lone gerbil that has been there for months

Try to remember, most rescues and nearly 100% of pet shop hamsters will be hybrids. If you should ever take up showing, hybrids can only enter the pet classes.

Breeding hybrids is also greatly frowned upon.

Thats horrid to call them stock :-/ I'll go and have a look in my 2 local P@H.. Even if I come home with one lonely Hammy, I just want to give one a good home. I feel sorry for the ones taken back so feel obliged to give them a loving home.

I never really plan to take up showing. I did it with my cat and it greatly distressed her, I also saw many other distressed animals whilst visiting various shows.. I know it purely depends on the animals temperament and the owner but I just realised its not for me, I am purely a mother for the little souls :')

With cats, yes I can understand why they'd get totally stressed.

My rescue hamster, Rory didn't like showing and won't be going back but Messy, who is a breeder hamster, was totally chilled out. But then again, I dare say Rory's life (before me) had been full of stress compaired to Messy's.

Yeah. I'll never forgive myself for taking my cat :/ I love her more than anything and to see her so upset broke my heart.

Ah I suppose every Hammy is different? I just think I want to adopt/rescue a Hammy and if I cannot find one to rehome, I'm at the Kingswinford show on the 26th so could always get me a Ham there :')

Cat shows should never be tackled without great consideration. My mother breeds and shows cats. I see a couple of stressed out cats when I go with her but never many. XD It's all about training them to relax at shows which my mother really does have a knack for.

I like to think any purchase is a rescue from P@H compared to what COULD happen if they're left there.
