Tomatoes?
Hello - would anyone recommend feeding a quarter of a cherry tomato to a Winter White Dwarf Hamster? Pikachu often gets carrot or cucumber as his fresh treat and I tried him on a bit of apple yesterday but he didn't fancy that much..was thinking would a cherry tom be too squishy for him?

Re: Tomatoes?
Not sure about tomatoes, I never gave any to TInker as I was concerned it would be too acidic for him. I had a look around on the web and quite a few people were feeding their hammies tomatoe but I still found others saying not to feed it. I think even if you do feed it to them it is supposed to be in very small amounts as it can give them diarrhea.

Re: Tomatoes?
We have fed a small piece of the actual tomato flesh and it has been enjoyed. The seeds might get a bit sticky though I imagine and I would not give the leaves of the green bit on top.
