Ratrations sell locust bean not locust bugs? It's an edible pod similar to coffee or chocolate, also known as carob. Carob is sold is fancy health food shops as a chocolate alternative, one of my vegan friends here nibbles on it... bleh... It does really smell and not my cup of tea, but don't worry, it's not pieces of bug, just plant!

I bought the locust bean treats from Wilkinsons and they really do stink! Laurel even attacked and snorted at the treat and backed away when I tried to give them to her which I think says it all really!

Haha. I used to feed Marshmallow live locust. She loved them.
After smelling them after they have died I can't say I'd ever order them dead on purpose.

Crumble seems to love mealworms but Cookie ain't too bothered but still eats them. We also ordered shrimp cookies which I think they smelly lol and they seem to love them.

I feed my hamsters a mix of dried crickets, mealworms, and river shrimp. They seem to really like it.

I've never bought the locusts things but I was sorting out Belle's stuff earlier, and the dried mealworms smelled GROSS!

They do smell rather unappetizing, don't they? I almost gag sometimes when I open the tub I have of them.
