FAT syrian hammy

i have recently adopted a 1yr old golden syrian hamster (female), she previously lived in a cage with very little space and no hamster appropriate toys. she was mainly fed on yoghurt drops and digestive biscuits and (eventhough she was handled regularly) she got very little exercise.
She now lives in a multi level cage with chewing toys, a wheel, and has ball time every night. I feed her hamster musli with a fruit stick to chew on and a yoghurt drop once a week after they have been cleaned out.
SHES GETTING FATTER!!!! i dont understand how! she is almost too big to fit through her tubing system! other than that she seems healthy but has anyone got any tips?
