If you are giving fresh fruit and veg, its going to taste nicer than dry food, animals can be a bit like children if you give them sweets they wont eat the main meals

Leave off the fresh for a few days and just try the mix

What dry food do you use?

Harry Hamster with added porridge oats and monkey nuts. She just seems to turn her nose up at it the only thing she seems to store and eat are the sun flower seeds in the mix.

How often do you feed the mix?

If you feed hams everyday they will only eat the best bits.

a cup of food is enough to feed a ham for a week

dont fill the bowl when empty as most likly it will be stored some where.

With mine i give them the weeks worth in one go, then at the end of the week when cages are being cleaned they get the next weeks lot. it works as there is not much left over then.

(do check to start off with to make sure the place where the food gets stored isnt the same place as the toilet)

I only give mine enough seeds / fresh veg for her to finish in one sitting. (like a goldfish ) and feed her as much block food as she'll eat. However, she is EXTREMELY finicky and almost starved herself to death when I first brought her home and didn't know what she was used to eating. She will only eat the Mazuri Rodent blocks.
