Am i feeding her enough?
Ruby is so small and still slightly thin... she weighs about 75-80g and she is about 11 weeks old. Im not sure if im feeding her enough so that she will grow big and healthy Every day she gets a bowl with
1 tablespoon of harry hamster/pet shop mix
half a teaspoon of porridge oats
a few sunflower seeds and peanuts
3 or 4 bits of 'rodents garnish'
Some JR farm field herbs
2 rice krispies
1/2 a shredded wheat
a little bit of carrot biscuit
She gets a treat like a bit of bread, spaghetti, chicken, dried banana, fruit or veg every few days! She gets porridge or babyfood once a week. She gets a millet spray every week or 2 and a honey bar every month or 2. She only gets a yoghurt drop or a choc drop every few weeks. Is this enough? What weight should she be and is there anything else i could add to her food?

Blimey, she is tiny, Luna was 122g at 9 weeks...
Does she eat everything or store some?

Re: Am i feeding her enough?
I think she eats quite alot of it! Ive checked her store and she has some of it, but only a few pieces... I dont let her have fresh food in her cage incase it goes off so she eats all of that!

Re: Am i feeding her enough?
That sounds like more than what I thought you fed her. I can't understand why she's so tiny Maybe give porridge/baby food more often? I'm probs not the best person to help though. :P

Re: Am i feeding her enough?
I think that she was the runt of the litter...Im going to get her a can of baby food next time im in tescos, but the problem is i need to give her a bit every day or else it all goes off! I do split it with my cousin, who has gerbils but there is still loads left! Is it ok to give her a teaspoon a day for 3 days? Oh and im thinking of adding a little bit of wheetabix broken up into her food every day, and maybe some sort of soup mix with lentils and stuff?

Re: Am i feeding her enough?
KatiePillow suggested to me to put it in ice cube trays, and freeze it. Then you defrost a cube when you want to feed her it

Re: Am i feeding her enough?
I haven't actually bought her any yet. I keep meaning too - but don't want to scare the OH haha :P
You could always check on the label to see if it can be frozen...?

Re: Am i feeding her enough?
sounds fine and yeah baby food can be frozen, I put mine in ice cube trays aswell, otherwise it wouldn't last, can't use a whole jar in 2 days!
chibi has always been really small too though as he was runt of the litter so if she was the runt that will be why she's so small
