Default Fun with new Robos

I got 2 (male) Roborovskiis on Friday (I'll add the photos later), and I'm wondering if they are all nocturnal or if they are active during the day. I'm aware that it's a bit late to be finding this out, but they're keeping me up all night, even with a silent runner wheel - and I had heard that they are active in the morning and evening.
They're currently in a Rody Hamster cage, in my room, but I have plans to eventually build a bin cage (using a 64 litre box), and I get them out around 7.30/8pm to try and tame them (offering them treats and picking them up to put them into the larger box). I also have a cat, who is... fascinated by them.

So, could I encourage them to be more active during the day, have I made a really bad choice in getting them, or is it too early to really tell what they're gunna be like (seeing as this is their settling period)

Robos are lovely but they are naturally most active at night like all hamsters. However they will start to come out in the evening once they feel safe and ours will often be pottering about before we leave for work in the morning as well. If they suspect we have food for them they will be out like a shot at any time of day

Robos are so very rewarding! Something I do when I clean out the cage is to not put their bedding into their bed but to put it in the middle of the cage, or scattered around. It's so cute to watch them stuff it all into their cheeks and run around finding somewhere to make their bed for the week!

I knew absolutely nothing about robos when I got 4 about 6 months ago. I now have had 23 pass through my hands (unwanted by others, etc), 11 of which are in my living room plus a syrian! If aproached in the right way these robos could be the start of a great hobby (and an excuse to shop )

If you have any problem let us know and we will help, we're all hamster geeks here lol x
