Introducing Lily :) *Lily's Thread*

I've been a member here for several months, but I just got my first ham. She is a lovely little robo that I call Lily! She's a little scared, but only if I attempt to pick her up. She doesn't mind if I watch her or walk by while she's scurrying around the tank. We did a short taming session in the tub today and she climbed half way onto my hand once, and fully on to my hand another time! She also climbed out of the ball onto my hand while I was putting her in the tank (I did this so she didn't fall into the tank), sat there for a moment, then carefully stepped off.

I knew I wanted a robo if they had any, but I had honestly never seen one in real life. I was almost shocked how little they are. I looked at some other dwarfs, but as soon as I saw the robos, I knew I had to have one. Lily was there with one of her litter mates. I almost chose her sister (or brother?) who was smaller than her and looked younger, but I chose Lily instead.





She has two white patches of fur just behind her ears, and her brown fur gets lighter as it goes down towards her rear. You can sort of see the white patches in this picture below:

Thank you! And she is extremely soft! What kills me is those robo whiskers, though

I LOVE robos whiskers! They are just the best! Congratualtions on becoming a robo owner. They are great, low maintenance little hamsters and although very fast, you just need to always make sure she is secure if removing her from her tank. They can jump very quickly!

Thank you! Yes, I just adore those big whiskers! And I learned very quickly that they're extremely quick and jumpy- transferring her from the carrier to the tank...she jumped out of my hands, ran down my arm, and almost got lose, but luckily, I caught her! Now I'll always be handling her somewhere secure!

A few more pics...Better quality! I was doing some spot cleaning and changing out the water (since it's a bowl until I get the bottle), and Lily woke up from her nap and was checking everything out.
