Sexing help ASAP!

So I was told my two hamsters were both girls. After inspecting to double check Miso infact looks like a boy (going off a diagram). Pocky looks similar although she squirms more so it's harder to tell. I've attached the only photo I could get of Miso so sorry for the poor quality but what do you guys think, boy or girl?

I think you have a boy on your hands there, judging by the prominent scent gland and spacing.

Yeah that's what I thought I just wanted someone else's opinion too. My other hamster looks like this too however it's hard to tell because he/she wriggles a lot more.

What type of hamsters are they and how old are they? The younger they are the harder it is to tell, also dwarfs are from my experience harder to sex because they are smaller. If it is a girl, both their anus and vagina will be very close together, and kinda look like one pink blob. Boys have their private parts more separate, so two pink blobs with a space between them. Boys also usually have a bulge under their tail, that kinda looks like a swollen butt! From the picture it's quite hard to tell unfortunately, you can carefully try to pick them up by the scruff for maybe a better examination, and maybe you could take a clearer photo by doing this? I'm tempted to say it's a boy but not entirely sure, sorry! I hope I have helped

I know the feeling. Try using a see through container and taking a picture from underneath.

Thanks I'll have to try later because they're both a bit stressed now so leaving them alone for a while. But they both seem to have two small pink patches near each other then a hole further up their belly which I think is their scent marking gland

Gosh, that is tricky! Me and my sis had trouble sexing my 4 week old Syrians, in order to separate them into same sex groups. Half the time the difficulty is just trying to grab them, babies are so wriggly! I was able to grab them by the scruff, but also did use the clear container method as mentioned by hekomi. It made life a little easier, for both me and the hammies! you don't wanna stress them too much!

Are the scent glands on their belly noticeable on both males and females??
