Gosh, that is tricky! Me and my sis had trouble sexing my 4 week old Syrians, in order to separate them into same sex groups. Half the time the difficulty is just trying to grab them, babies are so wriggly!
I was able to grab them by the scruff, but also did use the clear container method as mentioned by hekomi. It made life a little easier, for both me and the hammies!
you don't wanna stress them too much!
