Thank you J.H.!

This is the final plan of how its going to look now. Its basically finished now i.e the only thing that needs to be done is putting the upper platform in with the barrier to stop Rhubes from falling out at the front & to stop him from being a silly thing & climbing on the top of his wheel.

Awesome, I still think it looks really good and attatching the barriers shouldn't take too long, so hopefully Rhubarb will be in his awesome new cage soon
(And then hopefully you're happy enough to show us some pics )

Thank you! It means, K.D. that he will be safe with lots of airflow & lots of room. I wafted him in there the other day on my hand & he looked TINY! Working out what toys to get him - don't want to swamp him with tthem so he can run around but so that he has enough to keep him stimulated.

Cool
We've got Scamp in her bin cage and had to redo the toys there recently.
Our big challenge will be when we sort out the robo bin cages, I have no idea what to do for toys or even if we have enough toys for them lol
Will have to find out, we have a fair few new ones so hopefully... Hopefully we'll have an easy solution when we look for it.

Yay for getting Scamp into her cage! Its amazing what you can achieve when you put your mind to it & get in the zone.
I have a temp bin cage for my mice when I'm cleaning them out. When I mentioned a bin cage to my OH he was like "well, thats a stupid idea. The plastic is way too thin!" But now he's eating his words cos he also said that it would have been easier to buy a cage & mod it (after he'd persuaded me that a DIY cage was the best thing to do) but I just said no. It was too late now. This cage of Rhubes has cost well over a £100 now. And next week I'm going to be ordering more of the perspex to make a larger cage for my mice. There's will be 118cm (L) x 43cm (W) x 46cm (H) but basically the same design but with two doors instead of one & the upper level going right across.
You will have to take photos of the Robos cages when you are satisfied with your hard work. Plus photos of Scamps bin cage.

Oh don't worry, her bin cage is the one we did ages ago lol
Just had to re-mesh it and convince her that she didn't want to gnaw the bars... So far shes behaving

And er... yeah... Bin cages do work lol, but yours will be fantastic

Spending £100 to build your own cage is quite a bit, but at least you know it'll last ages

Scamps bin cost er... about £20 for the bins, £1 for the small boxes we took the bottoms out of and put to help her get between the levels, and er... about £6 for the stuff we used for mesh, plus about £5 for the shelves, and less than £5 for the screws/bolts e.t.c. So less than £40 in all
But since we built it with a screwdriver and two penknives it was a very tiring job lol

He is worth it & no I'm not one of these people that has more money than sense. This is for him to be happy in & that is very important to me.
