It does seem to take some time to move through Germany, but when it gets to the airport, it will soon be here.

Feels like its taking forever to come, I ordered a 14kg bag of siccofloor hemp with it and theyve sent it from Germany, i received some german tracking link not that thats much use lol
Haha that's exactly what I bought - 200 jumbo lolly sticks. :P

Should work well enough for a fence and maybe a platform I figured!

Still waiting for the vivarium. It said it would be delivered today but it's going to come as late as possible, isn't it. Agghhh.

Its always the case. If you want it to be early, you can guarantee it will be the deliverers last drop. If you have to nip out to a shop which is only 50 yards away, it will arrive and no one in to receive it so delivery has to be rearranged.

Yup, I've had my butt parked in the room closest to the door since 7 AM, but if I dared to go out for 10 minutes it'd make sure to come in that window. Always ends up that way.

Watch it come when I have to go to the bathroom or something just because I'm indisposed for a few minutes :P

Now, you could have gone to the shop for that pint of milk or the sugar or loaf of bread for lunch as the delivery bloke has not come. But, if you got up and thought 'the delivery wont be until this afternoon, I will nip shop and get the milk etc' you would have missed him. Sods law.

Haha yup, pretty much :P

I was hoping it would come fairly early so I could get it all done, but no such luck I suppose.

Still, as long as it actually turns up at all, lol.

Okay, so I finally got mine and got ONE of them set up.

As it turns out - you can't cut from one vent to the other because there's a bit in the middle where you need to put a connector. I made kind of a mess just making the vents bigger because I started to cut before I realised, but it's not TOO noticable when assembled since it's low down. So unless you're at the same level, you can't see it.

I will probably add more airholes at some point, but for now I think the vents will be sufficient. In the next one I plan to not bother making the vents bigger though -- I'll just mesh over them and add airholes. That one can wait, though -- this one took forever. :P

Waiting for the sealant to dry before I set everything up and then I'll take some pictures of Gino in his new home.

Yay! I cant wait to get mine finished. What have you used the sealant for? Also what do you mean by needing to put a connector?

The mash has been posted first class recorded for you. I hope you get it tomorrow.

Sealant needs to be put along the botton edges inside the cage along where the walls meet the floor. The floor is chipboard with melamine on top. If your ham pees in a corner and it seeps down in the joins, the wood will swell and becone useless, weak and just crumble. Sealing all along the bottom and up the corners and running a wet finger along the sealant to seal it / push it into the joins, will make it more waterproof. Smoothing it out with a wet finger, contours it to a curve and the hamster should (in theory) not bother to chew it as it is too smooth to get its teeth on to it.
