Today is day 28. Everyone is doing REALLY well. The bigger pups range from 82-94g and the two itty bitties are working on catching up. The male is closer than Chrysie but honestly Chrysie is doing way better than I ever thought she would. I was really concerned we would lose her. She's gained a lot and is gaining grams like they're cookies. I'm sure if you give her a couple months she'll be caught up, or at least close.

Cady is seriously the sweetest hamster and is out as much as I can get her. My partner does like Belt tort (name pending) but as she was not QUITE as friendly and of course her type is not as ideal, she's got a great home lined up. Stripey has one of two homes (#1 isn't emailing me back, I haven't heard since the day before pups arrived so have given her a few more days before I move on :/) and I've poked my next gal on the waiting list about Creampuff. If that doesn't work out, she'll go to the next person.

Arya got moved out (and Pekoe got kicked out, sorry Pekoe!). Pekoe was living in Arya's aquarium while Arya tended her pups, but now Pekoe is in a bin waiting to go on her last litter adventure (haven't bred her yet, but in the next week or so). I nabbed a picture before I moved out Arya. Everyone seems sleepy!

Belt tort tried to get in one last suckle... LOL!

"Peace out kids, enjoy your next adventure!"

Arya was a FABULOUS mother, so patient and very mellow with me. She played with the pups the last few days, and in general, was just fantastic. I'm not sure if she'll have another litter but she will certainly get some time to just relax. She did gain a lot of weight (no wheel + pup porridge... yum!) so I'm keeping an eye on that. I palpated her belly and gave her a full check over, no lumps or anything concerning so I think she's just fat... sorry Arya! She now has a Carolina Storm Express wheel to play on so I'm sure she'll lose it soon.

I'll update with the pups now, but they're going home soon! I owe you guys some updated pictures of everyone as they've all grown. They're still a bit hand shy, but are fine once in your hand. I don't know if I did something differently with Pekoe's gang, or if Pekoe's pups were just more naturally inclined to hop onto my hand, but we'll see. Arya and her litter were not "hand hoppers", so it might be something I have to work doubly hard on.

Haha, oh dear, really? I have my hamsters travel pretty far (Bancroft, Quebec, Ohio to Nancy!) so if you fancy a drive... I think I'm the only one besides Mika, who breeds robos, in Ontario (at least of the ethical breeder variety, you'll find a lot of "WW" breeders [even one who breeds the mythical SAVAGE WW colour... and many other "colours" which are not at all real] in Toronto and the surrounding area). I'm actually just a smidgen out of Toronto but still in the GTA.

I'm happy to share and I'm preparing up pictures now.

The mellow male. Just popped his owner a line to ask what she'd like to name him.

Cadence (her head looks way long in this photo but it's the perspective) and Beltie who will get a name soon, her owner isn't sure what to call her.

Chrysie, who is still just Chrysie.

Creampuff, who still has an owner pending. The gal I contacted has a few more days to get back before I ask the next person on my list.

Stripey apparently wasn't up for posing. I cleaned out their bin and then sat with them with walnut pieces on my palm. They're getting braver but still aren't 100% sure about hopping onto my hand for cuddles. The three torts are probably the braver ones, Chrysie is to a point too. The male and Creampuff are a bit more skittish.

You breed Robo's??? Wow I was looking for a Robo last month and I couldn't find one so I just went with another Dwarf hamster. In the future I'm definitely going to look into buying one though!

Habib did a great job and Arya too! She's shedding her weight so I'm pleased. She was about 208g before pregnancy, and was 254g a few days ago. Now she's back down to 235-240g which is better.

She's doing well and the pups are doing well. I tend to leave the males in for a couple days after I pull mum just to give them 1-2 days to adjust. I thought it especially important given the male (whose name is either Peanut or Diesel I am told!) is the only one.

I let them give a run at the wheel tonight. I honestly don't know what I expected.

Because there isn't a perfectly unused wheel on the other side, right?! :P

Creampuff enjoyed being able to groom in peace and they honestly had fun. I'll leave the wheel in for a couple hours, remove them, then remove the male and let him enjoy life solo.

Not watermarked because I'm being lazy but LOOK AT THAT FACE! Chrysie is just sweet as sugar. Her new owner is heading to the UK for a few days and I've offered to make her a snuggle sack (which I'm pro at making now, after sewing the first and ripping out the stitches twice) since Chrysie likes hers. Creampuff seemed okay with it too. Cady slept in it while we played some video games.

They're getting much better about being friendly.

The male is still a bit standoffish but that's okay.
