Animals are reliable, many full of love, true in their affections, predictable in their actions, grateful and loyal. Difficult standards for people to live up to.

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
Okay, good. I was worried I wouldn't know and accidentally lift her hut off and be like "OH NO BABIES AHHHH WHAT HAVE I DONE" but I'm hoping she's just growing. I gave her some millet spray in the cage, meal worms, and some baby food tonight so she can have fun with those.
SO says she must be pregnant. He made the chart, we actually have info on the other two dwarfs (and we'll add in Coffee once we get him). It makes for a good way to keep track of their weights and shows realistic data. The boys bounce from 51-53g pretty regularly.
Though Java may weigh more since I weighed her a bit earlier than I have the past few days... let's hope.

Ohh you know what? I was looking at Penny today and thinking, wow, she's getting huge in her hips and behind! So maybe it is a growth spurt? I've had Penny over a month and she hasn't had any contact with the boys.

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
Here's to hoping! I know if she does end up with babies, we'd probably have a task trying to find decent owners. I wouldn't want any hamsters coming out of my house ending up in crittertrails.

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
Yeah, I can't blame you there. I'd do the same. ![](https://www.hamstercentral.com/community/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif) Perhaps you can find some cheap decent hamster houses if needed. I was surprised to get a Hamster Haven (American version, nothing like UK lol) for 20 dollars and all the CritterTrails (not that I was considering any) were 45 dollars and up! The Hamster Haven is small but I think it's suitable for babies. I used one to temporarily house Wicket.

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
Hrmmm. The problem would be if she had like 10+ babies... I wouldn't mind keeping one or two and buying them each a tank to go in (though we're already having spacing issues right now. I'll take a picture of our space if SO lets me, lol) so adding at least two more, and possibly 8+ others would be insanity.
They would literally start living on the kitchen counter.
My hope is, if she is expecting, she has a small litter. As mean as it sounds, I hope she does cull it to a reasonable size (under 5 please?). She's so little herself, and she's had a pretty stressful time, though it's settling down now. I could possibly rehome 3 hamsters to good homes...
I'm just really glad I cleaned out her cage this morning!!!

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
Check this out.. Penny's rear. LOL
I think things will work out just find. You'll know what to do when it happens and you'll come up with an awesome game plan. The right kind of cages could be stacked!

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
Oh my Penny lol, maybe she and Java can do some aerobics together.
SO says it's more her personality since she's catty. Hope all goes well regardless. She's getting much more tame.

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
Penny is like that too. She was trying to bite me a lot (only succeeded once cause I kept my finger in front of her mouth, duh me lol). Not aggressive like Java though either. So hopefully she'll settle down even more! Any idea what the latest is she could have the babies if she is pg?

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
She's just skittish really and doesn't always wanna be handled. Which is okay but she will dive from your hands. I think the latest could be 9th. If nothing happens by then we are in the clear
