Default A syrian coloring/markings question?

Hello all! As you've all seen Buttercup has a litter if 17, and they will be 3 weeks old on Monday. The father hamster Rigby is a banded black eyes cream, and the mother buttercup is a self colored long haired syrian, and she is a tangerine color, and has very shiny fur, but I would not consider her to be satin.
Anyway, we have 5 self babies, and 12 banded, 3 of which have red eyes. They all look to be cream colored like their father. But within the past few days a few of the pups look slightly more tangerineish I guess you could say?
So I'm wondering, is there a chance that their coloration is still coming in and as they get older they may change to buttercups color?
Thank you all in advance!

Buttercup looks to be a Cream as well and the Band on many of my Band Creams ends up a lighter shade like your Rigby. By the NHC show standard Cream should appear as apricot so Buttercup is closer to that color then Rigby.

Since Buttercup carries Cinnamon(which the red eyed pups shows she does) that too can give her a more orange tint to her cream coat.

Hope this helps you

I knew she carried cinnamon, but I've always thought of cream as a yellowy shade.
This is very eye opening! Thank you very much!
So you think some of the pups will end up more tangerine colored?

Most likely and also Long Hair tends to lighten the cream as to get red eyed pups both black eyed cream parents have to carry Cinny. Can't wait for new pup pictures, bet their growing by leaps and bounds.
