Carpet Chewer!

My syrian Luna has started destroying corners of my carpet when she free ranges in my room. I have tried gently picking her up and moving her to the middle of the room but she just runs back again every time! Is it a sign of stress or boredom? Help on how to prevent this would be great ! Thanks

I can't answer your question on if it's a sign of boredom or stress, however maybe try putting a chew toy puzzle toy for your hammy in the corners so she gets distracted by that, which she's actually allowed to chew.
My old hammy Crumpet would run to the corner of my dining room and try chewing and pulling up the kinda loose floor cable covers. I ended up getting my parents to agree that I could rearrange the furniture so he couldn't reach that corner.
