Re: Escaping and chewing :(
I just came on to look for advice about my insanely chewy hamster too! We've only had her a few months but she's the worst I've ever had for chewing..I have to move her cage at night to the further point possible as she keeps us awake all night (she is downstairs!).
I can't really help but just wanted to say we have the Maxi duna multi which she chews within an inch of it's life. Her particular bug bear is the hole for the bottle...when we put the bottle there she was just constantly chewing, therefore making more noise with the bottle. We now have constructed a stand and have the bottle inside her cage, but have to block the hole as she cannot leave it alone. We used wooden chew toys and bolt them on, VERY tightly but she spend AAAAALLLLL night going mad at it until she has chewed through it down to the screw...and then even that doesn't stop her!
I have no idea what to do with her at all, like yours she has chews/toys/wheel etc in the cage.
