Default Question about female syrian...

Hi

Not sure if this is the right place to post this...

I have a female syrian, she's approx. 9 months old. I was stroking her last night and I stroked down her back and her tail, she froze and just lay there, at first I was so shocked because she never ever just stays still! But then I googled it and realised she's in season! So my question is...should I not stroke her like that again? She was lay on my lap for about 5/10 minutes while I stroked her (I just thought she liked being stroked that way, didn't realise it was because she was waiting for a mate!)

Thanks

she'll be in heat one day out of 4 and if you stroke her and notice this happening, you can just avoid doing it again on that day. On the other days you can stroke her all over

It doesn't do them any harm to be stroked and have them stand at the same time. We quite enjoy having them sit still! If you are not so keen on it them don't stroke her on those nights along her back. Just let her run about and play! They usually stop standing if you don't stroke the back in a minute anyway.
