We got him! Thank you guys
My daughter poked him with a swiffer duster and he came running to the hole.
I put his in a bowl (really shallow) of water in case he was dehydrated or wanted to clean the dust off.

As soon as I put him back in his cage he started trying to escape again, I don't know what to do with him!
I had him in a crittertrail and he managed to open the gate all the time so I bought him a habitrail ovo loft because they are supposed to be inescapable.
I was told to try an aquarium since he can't climb glass but I'm worried he will overheat.

Glad you got him - crittertrails are notoriously easy to get out of I'm afraid as are any small modular cages.
He is really much to big for those types of cages so is trying to escape because he is so very bored and his wheel is likely much too small.
Might I suggest you go now and buy the biggest plastic storage box you can find. Cut out most of the lid and then mesh it over. There are instructions here and I would only do the lid with him.

There are other threads around the forum. Now go and get a nice big wheel too on a stand or a 12in flying saucer so he can run to his hearts content. Fit the bin out with lots of toys both home made and bought and lots of cardboard to chew.
I'm sure he would be much happier You could even use bits of the crittertrail in the bin like the tubes etc if they are not too small for him
I hope that helps.
For now place his cage in the bath so if he escapes he will be contained in there. Dont have a chain from the plug though in case he scales it!

I'll go get some supplies this afternoon!
I bought the biggest cage I could find, I thought he would be happy in there.
This is his home right now, it is usually up on the table but it is down from me taking in apart incase he was hding somewhere lol.

It's really much too small for him and he doesn't even have a wheel. Compare it to you spending your life in a small bathroom and you can see why he would want out. The makers of these cages have a lot to answer for as they are promoting them as being fine for syrians when in fact they are only set to appeal to the public with the cute colours and funky designs.
I know you tried your best and availablity might be poor in your part of the world too but he'd love a bin cage and a Wodent wheel I bet
It's great that you are off to get the supplies and I hope you can get him sorted out very soon and settled. Good luck and be sure to ask if you need any help with the bin cage make up

Oh there is a wheel it's the green one on the left side. I kinda put two habitats together to give him more space lol.

Oh sorry missed that LOL. A syrian wheel should be at least 8 inch diameter so they run nice and flat and comfortably. Can you check the size?
