Discovering his voice?

Last night, and this evening, I've noticed Chewbacca has started "chirping" away vigorously when he is a bit giddy (when he wants to come out, when he is exploring). It's very, very quiet, only just audible. Of course, I held him to my ear and chuckled. I've never known him do this before, should I be concerned? He is about 15/16 months old, it's an odd time for him to find his tiny voice!

Honest, it sounds like an extremely quiet nest of chicks. Much like the Swallow chickies across the road, in fact, but I'm not crazy enough to mistake them .

What are your Syrian's voices like? Did they ever just start chirping? x

Snickers has always done this when she's happy, exploring or wants to come out of her cage. I noticed it for the first time when she climbed on my shoulder, it's so quiet I can only hear her when she's close to my ears.

So pretty much the same as Chewwy. I don't think it's anything to be concerned about.

Darcey is a vocal ham. She is always chirping away, it's really cute. It's like a little snuffling chirp

Daisy used to click softly when she was out, and then when I got darcey she used to squeak at her! She sounded like a guinea pig

Mo never really made any noise apart from the usual squeaking when she first woke up

It's so cute hearing them use their voices

Thanks chaps. So happy to hear this. He did it tonight when I came home after a weekend away, which warms my heart, as he didn't actually want to come out to see me, really, haha. x
