Re: Tireesix hamster tribe
Awww they are lovely. Pretty sure about half or more are long haired there
Since you did not get any cream pups there is a good chance that the dad is double umbrous (UU) (sable is Umbrous cream) You only need one umbrous gene to be umbrous so any pups he fathers will be Umbrous versions of their colours.

Re: Tireesix hamster tribe
I think the nicest thing about it is that even though we got the mums quite late (they were about 10 weeks old), they have taken to us really well and have been really good through out the pregnancy etc.
When I was breeding rats, I had a female called Bethan and she would literally, dump all her babies on me when it came to her time out the cage. So I would be sat there with this crazy rat running back and forth, dumping babies in my lap (and this happened right from day one), so I could baby sit for her and she could run off for a bit of play time. Hamsters don't seem to do this though lol!

Re: Tireesix hamster tribe
i deon't think she has enough room for them all
But the new owners will probably have to drag you out the door before you let them go!
I must say sables really take my heart, so the babies have got me love struck

Re: Tireesix hamster tribe
The sables, in the next litter which I should be able to show in the next seven days, have really nice orangey specs already from what I have seen,
The other thing is, with the sables we have in this first litter, couldn't really see the scent glands, but on Pollys litter, they are very obvious with a bit of orange around them. Whether that is good or bad? Will see when I get the photos done! Just have to wait for their eyes to open!!!!
