Is it okay to feed this ??

Hii !!
I was thinking of buying some dried shrimps for My male syrian hamster ,earlier I tried giving him both live and dried mealworms but it seemed like he wasn't a big fan of it.
I did some research on it and it looks like shrimps are safe but still I'm worried because I've never tried this before so idk if it's good or not.
Any suggestions pls??

Dried shrimps/prawns are safe for hamsters. They are a low fat protein source (whereas dried mealworms are high fat so not great in large quantities). Just make sure the dried shrimps are 100% dried shrimp with no additional ingredients.if you can get freeze dried they are better nutritionally (often found as cat treats)

Depending on what species of hamster you have they might be a hit or miss. My russian dwarf loved them whereas all but 1 of my syrians liked them My other syrians were disgusted that I was even offering the shrimp to them. So if you can get a small amount to try first if possible.

my syrian hamster really loves dried shrimps, he gets them in a mix i buy from etsy ! :3 i think he even prefers them over mealworms
