Male syrian hamster - red bump on genitalia

Hi! This is my first hamster I have ever had. He is also a boy long haired syrian! I was watching him groom himself and such when I saw a big red pimple sort of thing come out of a little hole on his lower belly? (Much larger and redder than the one posted here.)Which I imagine is where his genitals are? I have not seen him pee yet! Do you think n this could be a similar case? Is that just his genitals! Please let me know! I just got him so I think I will be taking him to the vet anyway to check him over but any information would help!
