Unhappy Princely's cheek😨

Hello everyone!
I have a Dark brown, 8 month old female Syrian named Princely (we thought she was a boy when we first got her, the name was a namesake of our first Syrian hamster, Prince)

I have her in a 110qt bin cage with bedding, a sand bath, a 6 bedroom nitangel(?) house and she has other toys to play in her cage. Yes, I will be updating that cage soon, hopefully to a 4ft in width cage in two weeks when I get my next check.

Recently, we moved to a new state, during the drive she had been very stress since she was in a smaller, commercial cage for 2 days while we drove to our new state. I had my scarf to cover it when it got too bright or I'd use my jacket, during that time she bit on it.

Today, when I was giving her some watermelon, I noticed she had a small patch by her cheek area, it looked to be perhaps gray-ish with a dark spot or maybe white with a darker spot and of course I am panicking. I've been watching and listening to Victoria & Erin's channel on YT, read everything I can on hamster to try and make sure her short life is a happy one.

My worry is that the spot might be something bad. She's eating normally, she's active and has even been playful. I've seen her pee in her normal corner, overall, she does not appear sick. I am simply worry because I noticed her left (I think) cheek is the one that has that very small spot.

Have you guys seen or heard anything like that? I tried to take a picture of it but it was nearly impossible.

All help will be appreciated as a worried hammy parent. 🙏🏽😨😭

Hello and welcome to HC!

If in doubt and concerned about her health, get her checked out by a vet.

It's impossible to advise by description only and hamsters are very good at hiding ailments. They carry on as per normal for as long as they physically can.

Maybe you could email a vet surgery and include a photo? They would tell you if they'd need to see your hamster in person or not.
