Re: Raphael (Raffy's) Adventures
That looks great! Far easier to get to the wheel and house. It's more open as well and Raffy's not a shy hamster so this set up should suit him better.

Re: Raphael (Raffy's) Adventures
Thanks! Did you see the last bit about the sputnik access? Got that sorted now. I was trying to do it quietly while he was asleep but it clearly woke him up and he sauntered out and up his cork log onto the shelf to look for his veg. Which I hadn't put out yet but have now so he's been out again. I'll stop fiddling now. Just so relieved I worked out access to the sputnik over the house!

Re: Raphael (Raffy's) Adventures
Yes i saw that. Its much better with the little shelf and bendy bridge steps.
Typical hamster. Had to laugh at Raffy. Lovely new set up but more importantly, where's my fresh food?

Re: Raphael (Raffy's) Adventures
Yes food is always the main motivation! Although he missed his "extra" tonight. It was in the same place, on top of the green hay step thing, but the hay step thing is in a different place so he didn't think to look there.

He'll sniff it out. Has he explored his new set up yet?

Re: Raphael (Raffy's) Adventures
Not tonight yet. He did a bit last night. He's usually out by now actually but might come out later as he got woken up earlier than usual. He's taken all the nesting material so hopefully he's built a bit of a nest now. He always just seemed to be camping in there before! I think that might be in his nature though, to be a bit unsettled.

Re: Raphael (Raffy's) Adventures
He seems a little bit like he's not sure what's what, which isn't surprising. Going round foraging, then wanted to come out with full pouches, then wanted to go back in again. I'll leave him till later - he usually likes coming out late.

He's probably looking for his hoard.

Re: Raphael (Raffy's) Adventures
I don't think so - I just scattered a lot of food and treats about. He was more confused on the shelf about the tube entrance not being there any more. But I see what you mean - maybe he wasn't sure where to dump it all.
